Cylinder Masterclass Lechera Milk Pitcher

This is a layered lesson focusing not only on our basic shape, cylinder but also culture and history! This lesson combines Spanish culture with introductory art concepts and in-depth art and painting instruction. Inspired by Aesop and his fable about a milk maid, as well as the importance of the women who carried the milk jugs in Spain prior to the 1950s, we will learn how to paint a milk jug. By paying attention to and learning about our basic shape of cylinder we will construct our milk jug. We will focus on light source, full values, gradients, viewpoint, shading techniques and painting techniques.
